A player from Helldivers 2 has issued an intriguing $1, 000 challenge to Arrowhead Studios, daring the developers to tackle the game’s toughest difficulty setting. Surprisingly, this challenge has garnered the attention of the studio’s CEO, Shams Jorjani, who appears ready to accept the bet.

The challenge, first proposed by Reddit user Key_Complex_150, promises a donation of $1, 000 to a charity of Arrowhead’s choice if four developers successfully complete a mission on Oshaune, which is recognized for its extreme difficulty level, rated at 10 – the highest tier in the game. According to the player, this is an opportunity for the developers to demonstrate their expertise and assess the game’s balance.

The engagement didn’t stop there; other players joined the conversation, with one pledging to match the original donation of $1, 000. This initiative has fostered a sense of community involvement, enhancing the excitement surrounding the challenge.

CEO of Arrowhead Studios Accepts the Challenge

In a recent development reported by GamesRadar, Shams Jorjani has seemingly accepted the challenge, sharing insights and updates on the game’s official Discord channel. In interactions captured in screenshots on Reddit, Jorjani sought assistance from fellow players to refine his loadout before testing it out.

Since Oshaune was initially unavailable, Jorjani tackled a different challenge on Nivel 43, a known battleground for its difficulty. In his updates, he proudly announced his success at difficulty level 7 and progressed to attempt an 8.

As the challenge continued, Jorjani did manage to reach Oshaune. However, the intensity of the battle soon became evident as he expressed frustration over encountering “Rupture Strain a******s” and the lengthy cooldown of the FAF-14 Spear weapon.

In a light-hearted exchange, a fellow player humorously recounted how they had inadvertently eliminated Jorjani during a mission, saying, “Oh it’s the same shams I accidentally killed with laz cannon because he ran in front of me while I’m clearing an entrance of a cave on Oshaune.”

While it remains uncertain if Jorjani will fulfill the initial bet and complete Oshaune for the charity donation, many fans find joy in the fact that the CEO is actively engaging in this challenge. Community members have expressed their appreciation, with one stating, “The mere fact that Shams actually does play the game is truly amazing and inspiring freedom in me, ” while another commended his vibrant interaction with the community, saying, “Shams is such a fun dude. Always up for just doing fun things for/with the community.”

For now, all eyes are on Arrowhead Studios as they embark on this challenge, highlighting the unique connection between developers and gamers in the thriving community of Helldivers 2.
