As the series nears its conclusion, fans are becoming concerned that the creator may have neglected to reveal this crucial mystery.

My Hero Academia: Has the Creator Forgotten About Deku’s Father?

At San Diego Comic-Con 2018, Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of the manga, announced that Deku’s father will be unveiled in the upcoming future. This information was also confirmed by VIZ’s official X account.

Despite the passage of time, the My Hero Academia manga has yet to divulge any further information about Izuku’s father, Hisashi. All that has been revealed is his name, his occupation abroad, and his ability to manipulate fire. The character remains largely shrouded in mystery.

Since Kohei Horikoshi, the creator of My Hero Academia, announced his plans to unveil the identity of Deku’s father, Hisashi, in 2018, it is likely that after almost six years, he may have simply overlooked the crucial reveal.

This realization has caused concern among fans, as they hope to remind the manga creator that Deku’s father should be revealed before the series concludes.

How fans reacted to the possibility of Horikoshi forgetting Deku’s father

Fans were amused by the idea of Horikoshi keeping Deku’s father a secret until the very end, as they had come up with numerous theories and speculations about the character. Therefore, if the manga were to disregard the character entirely, it would feel like belittling the fans’ dedication in crafting these theories.

“It’d be the biggest troll if hori just straight up didn’t mention deku’s dad ever again. especially with all of the theories and speculation,”one fan said.

Other enthusiasts started speculating about the true identity of Deku’s father. One person even suggested that Roronoa Zoro from One Piece could be Deku’s father. They theorized that Zoro may have accidentally ended up in the My Hero Academia world and crossed paths with Inko Midoriya.

“Maybe Zoro got lost one day to bnha and meet Deku’s mom,”another fan said.

There was a widespread belief among fans that All For One could potentially be Deku’s biological father. This theory gained significant traction within the manga’s fanbase. Given that AFO had bestowed Shigaraki with the Decay quirk, it was plausible that the villain was somehow connected to Deku’s upbringing.

“You know what would be insane is if it came down to it and his dad was actually all for one this whole entire time,”another added.

It was speculated by some fans that Deku’s father may have already been introduced in the manga series, but the character may have never spoken during his appearance.

“Maybe he already revealed it & just didn’t say anything,”one fan said.

Keeping this theory in mind, a fan speculates that Deku’s father could potentially be the President of America. This theory stems from the fact that the character was observed giving a commanding directive to his subordinate, although his face was never revealed in the manga. As a result, the fan believes that Horikoshi may intentionally be keeping Deku’s father’s identity a secret until the conclusion of the story.

“the president is deku’s father,”another fan speculated.
