Despite the abundance of dramatic content, it has been revealed that only half of the House of the Dragon audience tuned in to watch Episode 1. According to Samba TV, the viewership for Season 2 was only 1.3 million, significantly lower than the 2.3 million who watched the Season 1 premiere. Furthermore, the streaming numbers also saw a decrease, with 7.8 million viewers compared to last season’s 9.9 million.
Fans are frustrated because it is taking too long for new seasons of House of the Dragon to be released. The first season was released in 2022, followed by a two-year wait for Season 2. And now, it has been confirmed that the third season will also take two years to arrive.
