Kohei Horikoshi’s popular manga series, My Hero Academia, came to an end on August 5, 2024, marking the finale of his magnum opus.

After much anticipation, fans had created their own interpretations of the My Hero Academia finale, setting the bar incredibly high for the actual series conclusion. While not everyone may have been fully satisfied with the ending, it ultimately provided a suitable conclusion for such a beloved and influential series. Now, let’s delve deeper into how the My Hero Academia manga wrapped up and what the future held for Deku and his comrades.

Exploring the Conclusion of the My Hero Academia Manga and Deku’s Fate Post Time-Skip

The final chapter of Kohei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga, Chapter 430, marked the definitive end of the story. It began with Izuku Midoriya, also known as Deku, looking back on his time as a student at U.A. High and how his journey ultimately came to a close as his One For All Quirk faded away. The chapter also included a significant 8-year time jump, during which it was revealed that Deku had become a teacher at U.A. High.

The chapter also gave readers a sneak peek at the next generation of aspiring heroes, reminiscent of Deku and Katsuki Bakugo’s early days in the series. It featured a middle school classroom filled with students debating which path to take at U.A. High School.

Similarly to the development of Deku and Bakugo’s characters at the start of the series, Dai, a student, faced bullying from his classmates because of his ambition to become a hero even though his Quirk appeared to be weak.

In Chapter 430 of the My Hero Academia manga, the spotlight shifted to Deku’s former classmates and their impressive achievements as great heroes in the current hero society. Mezo Shoji, also known as the Pro Hero Tentacole, garnered global recognition for his peaceful resolution of prejudice-based incidents in smaller cities.

Meanwhile, Ingenium (Tenya Iida), Froppy (Tsuyu Asui), Creati (Momo Yaoyorozu), and Uravity (Ochako Uraraka) were traveling to elementary schools throughout Japan. It seemed that the number of villain attacks had decreased, allowing the heroes to expand their reach.

Despite both Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo being ranked highly among heroes, Bakugo’s popularity was on the decline due to his aggressive and impolite actions. In contrast, Todoroki was expected to rise in the rankings and potentially surpass Mirio Togata, also known as Lemillion, who was currently the top-ranked hero. Moreover, Todoroki had successfully emerged from the shadow of his father, Endeavor, as he was no longer solely recognized as his son.

As previously stated, Deku became a teacher at U.A. High and now mentors the next generation of aspiring heroes, along with Shoto Aizawa. He later revealed that after they graduated and entered adulthood, it became increasingly challenging for him and his former classmates to stay connected and meet up.

Despite this, Deku still held a great sense of pride for his former classmates and was overjoyed to witness their success in their respective careers. He remained focused on inspiring and helping others achieve their dreams, as his own dream of becoming the greatest hero had already been fulfilled.

Despite acknowledging the loneliness he felt in his current life, he maintained that inspiring others to strive for their best and persevere towards their dreams brought him a sense of fulfillment.

At the end of chapter 430 in the My Hero Academia manga, All Might made a surprise visit to Deku and presented him with an upgraded version of his battle suit. This new suit was created using data from All Might’s battle against All For One eight years prior, thanks to the help of Mei Hatsume and a friend from the United States who studied the Demon Lord’s abilities.

All Might went on to disclose that Deku’s previous classmates at U.A. High had generously funded the making of the suit, with Bakugo being the primary contributor. He then proceeded to bestow his blessings upon Deku, acknowledging that he had rightfully earned this power.

As a result, Deku was once again able to join forces with his friends and continue his hero work. While the My Hero Academia manga concluded after this event, it also signaled the start of a new chapter in Deku’s journey.
