Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Team Ninja’s latest game in the “soulslike” genre, is a great example of why gamers who want a real challenge love the developer so much. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is perfect for people who want to see more of Sekiro’s fast-paced, deflect-and-parry-heavy combat. It has a lot of really hard fights. And if some players find the challenge too hard, Team Ninja has come up with a solution that helps everyone.
The reinforcement system in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty lets players choose from a list of NPCs and call them in to help them through a stage. The NPC will also give the player some of the best gear in the game, but only when the player has reached the highest bond level with the character. Even players who like to play alone will find the reinforcement system useful because of this. Players can master the reinforcement system in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty by using Tiger Seals and Cups of Cordiality. This lets them get the best gear in the game.
How to Get and Use Tiger Seals
What are Tiger Seals?
But the player can switch out these characters for someone else. When a reinforcement is called, it will cost the player one Tiger Seal. When the player dies, any reinforcements that were not automatically sent will expire. If the player wants to call the NPC back into battle again, they must use another Tiger Seal.
Where are Tiger Seals Found?
Tiger Seals can be found in glowing loot caches, but the most common way to get them is to kill another player and take their place. This is a very simple task that only requires the player to kill enemies whose morale ranks are surrounded by a purple glow.
The number of Burial Flags is a sign that these enemies are close by. These are the purple flags that look the same. Killing these enemies doesn’t always give you Tiger Seals, but doing so is the fastest way to build up a stockpile of Tiger Seals.
Players will have enough Tiger Seals to last the whole game if they use this strategy and fully explore each stage.
How to Use Tiger Seals in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty:
The player must interact with a Battle Flag in order to use Tiger Seals. Look for the “Reinforcements” choice near the bottom of the Battle Flag menu. When you go into that section, a list of NPCs will appear. On every stage, not every character will be available. When a player chooses the NPC they want to summon, they will see a message telling them that it will cost one Tiger Seal per summon.
Look at an NPC’s strengths and weaknesses when deciding which one to call upon. Find NPCs whose strengths are in different areas than the player’s by using the Five Phases Affinities as a guide. This will make it much more likely that someone in the party will be able to fight against an enemy’s elemental affinity.
How to Get and Use Cups of Cordiality in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
What are Cups of Cordiality?
In Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the Cup of Cordiality can only be used for one thing. As long as players keep using the reinforcement system, their relationship with their chosen NPC will get stronger.
At oath level 10, they will eventually become “sworn brothers” and give the player a copy of their gear. The same reinforcement menu can be used to offer Cups of Cordiality, which immediately raise the bond level with the chosen NPC.
Where can you find Cups of Cordiality?
Cups of Cordiality aren’t very common, so you shouldn’t use them too often. Some of the heavily guarded chests around the world are where you can find them. Pay attention to the NPCs, because they will tell the player when they are close to a chest.
Cups of Cordiality can also be given as a reward for completing quests, but this happens even less often. The best way to get cups is to look around each stage carefully and look for the big chests.
How to Use Cups of Cordiality in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
Visit the reinforcements section of the Battle Flag menu in Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty to learn how to use a Cup of Cordiality. Look near the bottom of the screen from the main section, where the list of characters is.
When the NPC you want to talk to is highlighted, the game will show you the system-specific command to use. Just use the right command and say yes when asked to. How much the oath level goes up depends on the character’s level when they use the cup. The increase will seem smaller the higher the level was to begin with.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. On all platforms, you can try out the game for free until March 26, 23.
