To change your weapon to your left hand in CS2, navigate to the Settings Menu and select Game, followed by Item. Locate the Preferred Viewmodel Left/Right Handedness settings and choose whether you want the default viewmodel for your weapon to be Left or Right. If you prefer using the Left-hand viewmodel, make sure to set it as the default here.

If you like to switch between left and right-hand viewmodels, you can assign a key to do so during gameplay. By default, pressing “H” on your keyboard will switch hands.

To modify the keybind, simply select Go To Switch Hand Key Bindings in the Preferred Viewmodel Left/Right Handedness section. This will direct you to the Keybinds settings where you can assign a different key on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can access this option by navigating to the Weapon Keys tab in the Keyboard / Mouse section of the settings menu.

When you press the designated key in the game, your weapon hands will switch. This action will also trigger the pull-out animation for the weapon you are currently holding, unlike in CSGO where the viewmodels would change instantly without any animation.

The ability to adjust left-handed viewmodels is a great addition for players. The only remaining concern is the implementation of a functioning Anti-cheat, which we are eagerly anticipating to combat cheaters in the game. In the meantime, consider optimizing your settings for better fps in CS2.
