Risk of Rain 2 offers a plethora of secrets waiting to be discovered by players. From hidden areas and formidable bosses to unknown enemies and playable characters, players are encouraged to uncover the game’s many mysteries. Obliterate Yourself in Risk of Rain 2
In order to obliterate yourself in Risk of Rain 2, you must complete one loop of the game and then, on the third stage, enter the celestial portal and use the Obelisk to obliterate yourself.
These are the specific instructions to accomplish this:
- First start your run as normal, though we recommend the Drizzle difficulty as you’ll be looping back
- When you reach the fifth stage, be sure to interact with the outer rings of the teleporter instead of the central part.
- This will restart the loop, and you will be teleported back to the first stage
- Now, continue playing until you reach the third stage
- Activate the teleporter, but instead of interacting with it, you’ll see a Celestial Portal pop up
- Enter the Celestial Portal, and you will reach A Moment, Fractured
- Here, descend to the bottom, and you’ll see a giant Obelisk
- Interacting with it will allow you to obliterate yourself, and the game will finish
- Once you have obliterated yourself, the Mercenary survivor will be unlocked
- You also get five lunar coins every single time you obliterate yourself
Mercenary Skills Overview
Although playing as Mercenary can be challenging, mastering his movement ability can lead to great rewards.

In general, even if you are not prepared for the last boss, this is still a suitable way to conclude the game, especially if you are aiming for specific mastery skins.
The Seekers of the Storm expansion includes two additional characters to unlock, namely the Chef and False Son. This brings the total number of characters to 122, with a current count of 296.
