Rematch, an exciting third-person 5v5 soccer game, is set to launch on June 19, but players have the opportunity to get a sneak peek through its closed beta, now open for early access.

This innovative title comes from Sloclap, the studio renowned for its previous hit, Sifu. Rematch has garnered interest by offering a fresh take on soccer gameplay, allowing players to control individual characters in a third-person view, diverging from the traditional top-down perspective reminiscent of games like EA Sports FC.

The initial closed beta was quite popular, attracting over 1.3 million participants. If you’re eager to experience the game for yourself, here’s how you can access the upcoming beta scheduled for May.

Details on the Rematch Beta

The closed beta for Rematch is slated to occur from Wednesday, May 28, to Friday, May 30.

While the last beta commenced at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM BST, specific start times for this beta have yet to be announced. Notably, the previous beta was extended, leaving players hopeful for a similar outcome this time around.

Available Platforms

The Rematch closed beta will be accessible on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Unlike the first beta, which was exclusive to PC, this next phase will include all platforms following a brief technical test for consoles conducted on May 9. However, the implementation of crossplay remains uncertain, as the developers have yet to confirm its availability at launch.

In a recent update on Discord, developer nobugz mentioned, “we’re making every effort to have cross-platform play ready for Day 1, but I cannot confirm it at this moment. If we aren’t able to launch it in time, we will implement it in a future update shortly after.”
