How to Obtain and Enhance the Imaginary Friend Drawing in MW3 Zombies

The Imaginary Friend Drawing is one of the four necessary artifacts needed to unlock the recently added Dark Aether Rift in Season 3: Reloaded for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. This guide will explain how to obtain and enhance the Imaginary Friend Drawing in MW3 Zombies.

How to Create an Imaginary Friend Drawing in MW3 Zombies

The Act 4 Union story mission must be completed before searching under the bed at coordinates I7 to find the Imaginary Friend Drawing relic. The bed can be found on the second floor of a house.

The building may occasionally serve as a Mercenary Stronghold, but its completion is not necessary to obtain it. However, a Stronghold Keycard would be needed to enter the building if it is being used as a Stronghold.

To spawn the Reward Rift with the purple Imaginary Friend Drawing, simply lie in the prone position and interact with the container. Even if you do not have the Death Perception perk, interacting with the container will still work, although there will be no prompt to do so.

How to Upgrade Imaginary Friend Drawing in MW3 Zombies

To upgrade the purple Imaginary Friend Drawing to gold rarity, players can complete one of the new Tier 3 Easter eggs. In the red zone at coordinates F5, there will be a purple triangle on the ground. This will signal the location for the upgrade.

Stand on the triangle and carefully observe your surroundings for three purple runes attached to nearby buildings and structures. Fire at the three purple runes to activate the triangle, causing mismatched lines to appear on the various buildings around you.

Position yourself on the rooftop or bridge located to the west of the triangular ground and align the uneven lines until they create a perfect triangle. Once the shape is complete, it will emit a glow and a ring will materialize around you, prompting you to perform the Summoning.

Execute the Summoning ritual and eliminate any zombies inside the designated area until an elite special zombie emerges. Vanquish the elite foe to trigger the appearance of a Reward Rift containing the coveted Imaginary Friend Drawing made of pure gold.
