Prior to the highly anticipated heavyweight boxing showdown between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, Netflix is set to launch a docuseries titled Countdown: Paul vs Tyson.
In this clash, 27-year-old Jake Paul will go toe-to-toe with 58-year-old Mike Tyson on Friday, November 15.
This exciting boxing event will be streamed live on Netflix from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with the action starting at 8:00 PM ET.
Leading up to the match, Netflix will premiere a short docuseries focusing on the two fighters.
The three-episode series, aptly named Countdown: Paul vs Tyson, will offer an exclusive look into each fighter’s training camps, providing viewers with “intimate access” to both competitors.
Countdown: Paul vs Tyson Release Date
Netflix will stream the first two episodes of Countdown on Thursday, November 7; the third and final episode will be available on Tuesday, November 12.
This means the docuseries will conclude just three days before The Problem Child faces off against the Baddest Man on the Planet in the ring.
Other Fighters Featured in the Countdown Docuseries
While the primary focus of Countdown is the Paul vs Tyson match, viewers can also look forward to coverage of the upcoming women’s boxing clash between super lightweight champion Katie Taylor and featherweight champion Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano.
Taylor and Serrano are set to compete on the same day, November 15, at the AT&T Stadium, marking their second encounter in the boxing ring. This matchup will also be streamed live on Netflix.
Although Jake Paul has mentioned that Mike Tyson was not his initial choice for this Netflix fight, it has quickly become one of the most anticipated events of the year. The streaming platform’s initiative to enhance excitement with this three-part docuseries is likely to ramp up the hype significantly.
