Disney and Pixar were once known for their flawless track record, but their recent releases, including Turning Red, Strange World, and Elemental, have all faced difficulties upon their initial release in the past few years.
Despite being a part of Disney’s grand centennial celebration, Wish faced significant pressure to live up to the standards of the past and bring back the nostalgia. Unfortunately, the movie failed to reach those expectations, resulting in Asha’s story receiving a low Rotten Tomatoes average of 48% upon its release.

When is Wish on Disney Plus?
As of April 3, 2024, Wish is available for streaming on Disney Plus.
Our initial expectation was for Wish to be released in February or March, as the scheduled release date was November 2023. However, the animated film was delayed and arrived later than anticipated.

The April release is logical, considering that Wish was released physically on March 12, 2024. It is evident that Disney intended to generate sales through Blu-ray and DVD before offering it for free to subscribers.
