How Todo’s Addition Saved the Final Arc of Jujutsu Kaisen

Despite being a recent addition, Aoi Todo played a crucial role in the Shinjuku Showdown arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, which saw the reappearance of numerous characters who had been absent from the series for an extended period of time.

Despite the return of many characters from their long hiatus, such as Miguel and Larue, it can be argued that Todo is the most crucial addition to the final battle of the manga. This is evident when considering the significant contributions Todo has made to the fight. He not only rescued the remaining sorcerers from certain demise, but he also played a pivotal role in allowing Yuji to unlock his Domain and defeat the King of Curses.

This article contains spoilers from the manga series Jujutsu Kaisen.

The Importance of Aoi Todo in the Sukuna vs Jujutsu Tech Battle

Fans had been questioning Aoi Todo’s whereabouts after the Shibuya Incident arc, as he had been absent from the story and not even mentioned until recently. However, much to their delight, Todo made a timely appearance and rescued his comrades from certain death within Sukuna’s Domain.

Moreover, the arrival of Todo completely shifted the situation in favor of the Jujutsu Tech sorcerers, who most likely would have been defeated by Sukuna if Todo had arrived even a few seconds later.

Fans of Todo appreciate his ability to consistently appear in the most desperate situations and inspire his “brother”Yuji Itadori to continue fighting, even when facing certain death.

In the Shibuya Incident arc, Todo was forced to sever his own limbs as a result of being struck by Mahito’s unerring attack. He later declared that he had permanently lost his Boogie Woogie cursed technique. This led to him being absent from the story, with fans speculating that he was using his time off to recover and regain his cursed technique.

In chapter 259 of Jujutsu Kaisen, after Todo’s return to the battlefield, a flashback sequence revealed that Mei Mei and Todo had strategized to use their unique abilities in order to safely evacuate their allies from Sukuna’s Domain.

Fans were thrilled to discover that Todo had acquired an enhanced version of his cursed technique, known as the Re-Boogie Woogie. This new ability involved the use of a Vibraslap, a unique musical instrument that replaced his left arm and enabled him to execute his swapping technique up to 50 times per second.

Todo’s use of the Re-Boogie Woogie technique completely altered the direction of the battle. By ensnaring both Sukuna and Yuji in a chaotic exchange reminiscent of a roulette, he effectively trapped them. Todo successfully caught Sukuna off-guard multiple times during the fight, utilizing his cursed technique to give Yuji the opportunity to inflict major damage on the King of Curses.

Following the conclusion of Yuta’s second showdown with Sukuna in chapter 263 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Todo once again demonstrated his prowess by utilizing his technique to guide Yuji in executing a Dismantle attack on the barrier separating Sukuna and Megumi’s soul. This further weakened the King of Curses’ grip on Megumi’s physical form.

At the conclusion of the chapter, Todo once again deceived Sukuna by sending Hana Kurusu onto the battlefield. She utilized the full power of her Jacob’s Ladder to attack the King of Curses.

Despite the attack having little effect on him, Todo successfully protected Hana from Sukuna’s Black Flash by using his body as a shield. This resulted in the two sorcerers colliding through multiple buildings.

Todo’s mastery of his cursed technique, unwavering dedication, and fierce fighting spirit impressed Sukuna, who praised him as a truly exceptional Jujutsu sorcerer.

As a result, Aoi Todo’s notable contributions in the ongoing battle, coupled with his ability to impress the King of Curses, solidify the assertion that he is the most valuable addition to the final battle of Jujutsu Kaisen.
