Hyun Bin and Kim Sun-ah Set to Reunite in 2024 Revamp of My Lovely Sam Soon

On August 22, Wavve launched the ‘New Classic’ project by revealing the poster and teaser video for the 2024 edition of the popular MBC drama “My Lovely Sam Soon”.

The release date for “My Name is Kim Sam-soon 2024″is set for September 6.

The teaser video captures the delightful dynamic between Kim Sam-soon and Hyun Jin-heon, now 19 years later. The bold and self-assured Kim Sam-soon, along with the charismatic yet dislikable ‘bad boy’ Hyun Jin-heon, and a contract-based romance – all classic elements found in modern romantic comedies – can be seen in the teaser.

The popular romantic comedy “My Lovely Sam Soon”has been revamped for 2024, now presented as an 8-episode series with each episode running for 60 minutes. According to Wavve, the show’s main characters’ storylines have been further developed, and each episode now ends with a cliffhanger to keep viewers engaged. Additionally, the show has been updated for modern audiences with improved video and sound quality, subtitles, and an OTT format to ensure better accessibility.

A press conference has been scheduled for September 5th to promote the upcoming release of the 2024 version of “My Lovely Sam Soon.”Kim Sun-ah, Jung Ryeo-won, and director Kim Yoon-cheol will all be in attendance, but Hyun Bin will unfortunately not be able to attend.

At the same time, Wavve is actively developing the ‘New Classic Project’, which aims to revamp beloved classics such as “My Lovely Sam Soon”and “I’m Sorry, I Love You”with the involvement of key members.
