The eighth episode of I Parry Everything opens with a flashback of a young Noor conversing with his father. Noor’s father informs him of the existence of numerous malevolent dragons, and how those who are able to defeat them are rewarded with great riches and are hailed as “Dragonslayers.”Noor expresses his longing to become a Dragonslayer, but his father cautions him that the ancient dragons are extremely powerful and possess vast knowledge, making it perilous for a young child like Noor.

The scene then transitions to Noor awakening in Lynne’s carriage, where they catch sight of the Dragon of Calamity that was exposed in Episode 7. Lynne’s brother, Rein, makes fun of the predicament, as he realizes that the neighboring country would resort to unleashing such a disaster over a petty dispute.

Instructing the kingdom to evacuate, he urges Lynne to follow Noor’s plan of modifying her Windblast to launch him to the capital. However, Noor realizes the plan’s flaws too late, and is hurled towards the dragon. Despite losing hope, Lynne still follows through with the plan.

As King Clays watches, he resolves to harm the dragon, pondering how the dispute over the “Dungeon of the Lost”had become so intense. Noor steps in and deflects the dragon’s fiery breath, bravely facing it. The dragon becomes increasingly irritated as Noor refuses to see it as an adversary, causing it to doubt itself. In the end, Noor triumphs over the dragon and forces it to surrender, teasing that he will never be a hero.
