Ice Poseidon: $100K Hunger Games Kick Competition

Streamer Ice Poseidon has recently revealed plans for a $100,000 Hunger Games tournament and guidelines for content creators to participate in the event.

Ever since Twitch personality Kai Cenat announced his plans for a real-life Hunger Games with other content creators, there has been a plethora of upcoming IRL battle royales in the streaming world. Following his announcement, other individuals have also shared their plans for similar projects.

One notable instance was when Sam Hyde accused Cenat of “copying”his idea with the release of Fishtank All-Stars Vampire Bloodgames – a survival game that he had put his own spin on.

Ice Poseidon, on the other hand, is bringing his unique Hunger Games concept to Kick, offering a substantial prize for those brave enough to take a chance and hope for good fortune.

On June 23, the lead actor of Kick announced that he was accepting applications for the project by inviting potential contestants to submit videos explaining why they would be the perfect candidates for the competition.

“He explained that applicants must not have any medical issues and that there were 50 competitors. He also mentioned that having popular videos would give an advantage in the selection process. Additionally, he stated that chosen individuals would be streaming their POV on Kick, but warned that it was not for the faint of heart.”

To share their experience on the Austin, Texas battleground, individuals must upload their video on their respective community page on X, previously known as Twitter.

Currently, there is a significant number of video applications and individuals are approaching the competition with great seriousness.

Tazo, an Australian streamer, shared a video in which he showcased his target practice skills while holding a gun. He mentioned that he has prior experience participating in Ice’s challenges and has always managed to win thousands of dollars.

During another instance, DBLduty, a three-time combat veteran, presented his argument by challenging viewers to envision the consequences if they were to stand in his way.

Ice Poseidon has also announced plans to offer chest or head mounts to streamers in order to enhance the viewer’s experience, however, he cautioned that excessive movement with the head mounts could potentially cause dizziness for the viewer.

In June, he conducted a trial run of specialized tactical vests that illuminate upon impact and provide live updates on a player’s “remaining health.”

Additionally, the streamer mentioned his intention to recruit ex-military individuals as hunters, secure a 1.5 square mile ranch with wild boars for the tournament, and implement the use of shock collars on players to prevent them from leaving the boundaries of the map.

It is evident that Ice and Kick are fully committed to this competition. While a specific start date has not been announced, the streamer has stated that it is anticipated to take place in late July.

The announcement coincides with Kick’s recent launch of two additional categories aimed at moderating the occurrence of “problematic”situations during live streams. During Ice’s most recent event, a scavenger hunt, there were several incidents that caused concerns, including Natalie Reynolds daring a woman to jump into a lake and then leaving when the woman was unable to swim.
