Netizens have initiated an online debate about ILLIT’s new teaser for their upcoming comeback. Many are speculating that the group might have altered their concept, which is connected to the past plagiarism allegations they faced during their debut.
On September 24, K-netizens started a community thread, titled, “After the Controversy, ILLIT’s Concept Was Completely Changed.”This post included several screenshots from ILLIT’s “I’LL LIKE YOU”Brand Film teaser.
Earlier in 2024, BELIFT LAB and HYBE were confronted with plagiarism accusations due to the aesthetic and musical similarities between ILLIT and NewJeans.
These allegations were also brought up by Min Hee Jin during her widely discussed press conference in April, stirring up debates within the K-pop community and exacerbating the conflict between ADOR and HYBE.
ILLIT’s teaser has incited speculation from netizens, keenly observing how the group’s concept may evolve post-controversy.
