In the late hours of May 20, a fan of ILLIT on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) shared screenshots of the official ILLIT account (which was verified) following them. The fan claims that the account realized the error and silently unfollowed them after 20 minutes.
Clearly, the fan in question has a reputation for being an anti-fan of NewJeans, as evidenced by their comments left on negative articles about the girl group, such as “Nothing about NewJeans is original.”
This ignited numerous responses from internet users.
Furthermore, it was also discovered that the ILLIT’s official X account had previously followed a Korean fan-account for member Moka and a Japanese fan-account for member Yunah, but later unfollowed them.
