The leaked benchmarks for the new Arrow Lake line’s Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF CPU reveal impressive performance in multiple crucial aspects.
The Intel Core Ultra 7 265KF is expected to rank as the second fastest processor in the initial lineup of Arrow Lake Core Ultra 200K CPUs. According to leaked benchmark figures from Geekbench 6 tests, it is already showing potential to surpass some performance records.
The chip boasts a total of 20 cores and 20 threads, with a base clock speed of 3.9 GHz and a maximum boost clock of 5.5 GHz. Additionally, it will come equipped with 33 MB of L3 cache memory. The expected TDP for this chip is 125W.
Geekbench tested the Core Ultra 7 265KF using a Gigabyte Z890 Aero G motherboard with the ‘High Performance’ profile.
During single-core tests, the Core Ultra 7 265KF achieved a score of 3219 points, and in multi-core tests it scored 19433 points. This places it at the top of the performance charts for Intel CPUs, with a 9.3% lead over its predecessor, the Core i9-14700K.
Despite its impressive performance, the Core Ultra 7 265KF only showed a marginal improvement in multicore tests, with a 1% speed advantage over the Core i9-14700K. However, it falls significantly behind both the i9-14900KS and the Ryzen 9 9950X in these scenarios.
The Core Ultra 7 265KF is typically surpassed by the latest AMD Ryzen 9000 ‘Zen 5′ CPUs. However, this is just one benchmark evaluation and outcomes can fluctuate significantly depending on the specific workload and level of optimization for the CPU.
The release of the Arrow Lake desktop CPUs is scheduled for October 2024. The initial lineup is predicted to include three chips: the Core Ultra 9 285K(F), Core Ultra 7 265K(F), and Core Ultra 5 245K(F).
The LGA 1851 socket motherboards will be able to support all of these newly released CPUs.
