Prime Video’s hemoglobin-filled series took a break at the end of 2023, but it’s ready to return: the dates for Part 2 have been revealed.
From its debut, Invincible had left its mark on its audience on Prime Video. The animated series took the superhero genre on its head, a bit like The Boys, by taking the myth of Superman to make him a real threat to humanity.
Mark Grayson, the protagonist, indeed discovers superpowers, and not without reason: because the high school student is in fact the only son of Omni-Man, protector of the Earth against all the dangers lurking around… Except that in reality, the mustachioed dad is not so nice. He even belongs to a warlike extraterrestrial race, harboring the sole ambition of conquering the universe.
Season 2 of Invincible had been a long time coming, but the superheroes invented by Robert Kirkman, also author of The Walking Dead, had finally made their return. But not for long: unfortunately for the spectators, they had to endure a new waiting period, the season being divided into two parts.
And if the broadcast date of the next episodes has remained mysterious until now, the problem has just been resolved: we know when they will be released!
Invincible: Season 2 Part 2 Release Date
First announced for broadcast “early 2024” , part 2 of season 2 of Invincible will finally be available from March 14, 2024, on Prime Video.
In an interview with Collider, the creator explained that several factors contributed to the decision to divide this season. “It’s a little bit because of the production process, because it took a lot longer to get started than we thought,” he said, before adding other reasons:
“With everything going on this time of year, with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and spending time with family, I think a lot of shows get lost. So I think it’s good to take a break and from a narrative point of view it’s going to make things a little more impactful. People will know what I’m talking about when the season starts.”
