VTubing sensation Ironmouse has reiterated her strong support for TheBurntPeanut following his victory as VTuber of the Year at The Streamer Awards, a win that has ignited divided opinions within the VTuber community.

On December 6, 2025, The Streamer Awards celebrated numerous prominent figures in the streaming industry, with Kai Cenat taking home multiple accolades after his successful Mafiathon 3, and IShowSpeed earning the title of Streamer of the Year.

This year, the award for VTuber of the Year saw Ironmouse, often recognized as a leading figure in the category, pass the torch to TheBurntPeanut. His triumph has led to controversy, as some community members question his eligibility as a ‘traditional’ VTuber, emphasizing a divide among fans.

Ironmouse Stands Up Against “Cringe”Criticism

In response to the backlash, Ironmouse passionately defended TheBurntPeanut during her stream on December 8, labeling the negativity that has arisen as “cringe.”She expressed her frustration that people are “blindly hating”on him.

“I don’t get it; I don’t understand the hate. People say ‘he’s not a VTuber, ’ but he literally fits the definition of one, ” Ironmouse articulated.“They’re trying to convince me he’s bad because of what he said about VTubers, but all I see are clips of him being humorous. Where is this hatred coming from?”

Ironmouse admitted that her choice of words on social media might not have been ideal, acknowledging that viewers were upset when she deemed the criticism “cringe.”She emphasized the absurdity of an unreasonable disdain directed at someone celebrating a success.
