IShowSpeed accused of “ghosting” veteran after promising $1K to taze himself

IShowSpeed is facing accusations of “ghosting”a veteran after making a promise to donate $1,000 if the man tasered himself.

The situation came to attention when Chris, the CEO of Regiment – an American military gaming community – posted on X (previously known as Twitter) to publicly call out the popular YouTuber.

According to the speaker, Marine Corps Veteran John ‘Beats’ was promised to donate $1,000 during one of IShowSpeed’s “dare streams”if he tased himself live.

Despite it being three months since Beats completed the dare, the veteran had not received the extra cash promised. Instead, he revealed in his post that he had been “ghosted and blocked”by IShowSpeed’s entire team.

Chris emphasized that despite the current state of affairs being chaotic, neither he nor Beats were concerned about the money being transferred. For them, it was more about standing by their principles.

Beats expressed gratitude to Chris for sharing the details of the situation and mentioned that he had also attempted to contact through Twitter. However, his post was deleted and his “super chat”on YouTube was disregarded by IShowSpeed’s team.

In addition, he provided screenshots as evidence of his attempts to contact the YouTuber and inquire about the one thousand dollars he was owed for participating in dares. Despite months passing and no response, he continued to express his disappointment and frustration with being scammed.

Chris’ first post quickly gained traction, amassing over 4.5 million views at the time of writing. The widespread outrage prompted calls for IShowSpeed to address the situation. In response, Beats returned to X to provide an update and express gratitude for the support from viewers.

Despite the widespread attention garnered by Chris’ post, Beats discovered that IShowSpeed and his team had yet to provide a response. He emphasized that their failure to do so was not solely about monetary concerns, but rather a reflection of their lack of integrity. As Beats believed, a person’s word held great value and should be upheld at all times.

Beats also revealed that if IShowSpeed had upheld his promise, he intended to team up with Chris and organize a “Call of Duty tournament”for veterans.

“Remarkably, numerous exceptional content creators have taken action and contributed to the cause, making this tournament a reality,”Beats stated.

He expressed his gratitude to ‘Schnecky‘, ‘GEO2369‘, and ‘HutchMF‘ for their generous contributions totaling $4,000. He also shared a

When it came to IShowSpeed, Beats was adamant that he was not concerned with the YouTuber’s fame. He stated, “I refuse to be a pawn in his ridiculous game of chess.”

As of now, IShowSpeed has not responded. Nevertheless, we will continue to keep this space updated as the situation progresses.
