IShowSpeed convinces group of women in South Korea that he’s KSI

IShowSpeed successfully convinced a group of South Korean women that he was the famous YouTuber-turned-boxer, KSI.

During most of May, popular YouTuber IShowSpeed has been enjoying a vacation in South Korea. In addition to learning how to dance with KPOP group Kiss Of Life and facing backlash for his past ‘IShowMeat’ incident in August 2023, he has also been having a blast imitating his fellow streamer friend KSI.

During a shopping outing, IShowSpeed encountered a group of South Korean women. Despite their excitement upon meeting him, he decided to play a joke on them and pretended to be his business partner KSI.

As one woman inquired, “Are you Speed?”He replied, with a British accent, “No, my name is KSI.”The woman blushed and covered her face, giggling in embarrassment.

“Have you two ever visited London? You should definitely come check it out… it’s absolutely wild, mate.”The streamer exclaimed to the women. Despite their initial surprise, they continued to listen to the streamer before he bid them a friendly farewell.

The relationship between the content creator and KSI is a friendly and business partnership, suggesting that the impersonation was likely not intended to cause harm. In fact, IShowSpeed has even shared KSI’s phone number on numerous occasions, adding to the lighthearted dynamic between the two.

Even though there were jokes, the content creators revealed in April that they would be teaming up with Logan Paul to provide Prime Hydration with even more content. “IShowPrime, I am now in charge!”the streamer declared, as Logan informed KSI of their upcoming collaboration.

In December 2023, IShowSpeed and KSI participated in a boxing match to raise funds for the Anthony Walker Foundation. Despite IShowSpeed’s display of determination and heart, KSI maintained dominance throughout most of the sparring rounds. However, upon witnessing IShowSpeed’s strong desire to win, he graciously tapped out, allowing their friendly competition to claim the victory.

Despite the fact that he has gained fame for tricking South Korean women into believing he was KSI, this is not the initial instance of content creators playing this prank. Back in March of this year, Twitch streamer CDawgVA was strolling through the streets of Japan.

During his tenure, he managed to deceive a group of Japanese teenagers by pretending to be YouTuber MrBeast. The group even requested some of his possessions, which he ultimately gave away in order to maintain the facade.

Despite instances of content creators impersonating each other, those affected have not taken it too seriously and the jokes are seen as good-natured. As a result, authorities have not been involved in these incidents.
