IShowSpeed, a well-known content creator and YouTuber, has long been a fervent admirer of the anime series One Piece. In an exciting development, Matt Owens, the showrunner behind the live-action adaptation of One Piece, is set to bring an animated series starring IShowSpeed to fruition.
As detailed in a Variety report, Owens will collaborate with filmmaker Harmony Korine and Brian Robbins, the former head of Paramount. Robbins’ newly established animation studio, Big Shot Pictures, will take charge of the production process.
Eager Anticipation for IShowSpeed’s Animated Series
Although specifics regarding the plot of IShowSpeed’s animated series remain largely under wraps, Variety has confirmed that a character based on the YouTuber will feature prominently. Viewers can expect an official announcement and promotional material to be unveiled “soon.”
Expressing his excitement, IShowSpeed shared, “I’ve always loved anime, so being able to create something like this is a dream come true for me. The team behind this project is incredibly talented, and I can’t wait for my fans around the world to see what we’re building together.”
Additionally, Robbins praised Speed’s unique appeal, stating, “Speed is a one-of-a-kind creative force whose ability to connect with audiences transcends borders and platforms. As a performer, he’s built a truly global fanbase, and we’re excited to help bring his voice and vision to life in a completely new way through this series.”

This year has marked a significant milestone for IShowSpeed, as he has recently turned 21 and is now set to star in his own anime series.
With his dynamic performances, particularly in WWE events, it comes as no surprise that a series featuring him has been created. His deep affection for anime makes this project an ideal fit, although fans are curious if his famous associations, such as with soccer star Ronaldo, will find their way into the series.
Founded in early 2026, Big Shot Pictures has initiated a first-look theatrical distribution agreement with Sony Pictures Entertainment, aimed at delivering both animated and hybrid live-action films.
This announcement comes alongside IShowSpeed’s recent news of making his formal in-ring debut at WrestleMania 42, following several viral appearances as a side character. The synergy between his online presence and upcoming projects continues to elevate his career.
