Island Boys Banned from KICK After Slapping Woman on Stream

The Island Boys were barred from Kick due to KodiyakRedd’s actions of slapping a woman during their live stream on the platform.

In 2021, the ‘Island Boys’, consisting of twin brothers Flyysoulja and KodiyakRedd, gained viral fame on TikTok. This was largely due to their viral song and various videos featuring the duo.

Despite receiving a lukewarm response, the Island Boys were met with boos during their debut live performance as musicians. Nevertheless, their music video has gained over 25 million views on YouTube since its initial release.

Despite the incident on August 11, 2024 where KodiyakRedd slapped a woman, the brothers have consistently created content throughout the years, primarily using their livestream platform of choice, Kick. However, their account was ultimately banned from the platform.

The incident, captured in clips that quickly spread on Twitter/X, depicted a heated argument taking place in their kitchen. Within seconds, the influencer approached the woman and struck her.

The woman’s sibling became instantly furious and attempted to lunge at the Island Boy, but was restrained by those around him.

After the incident, the other brother hurried into the kitchen, attempting to understand the situation.

“The unknown guy claimed that your brother had approached him and struck his sister.”

Immediately following the incident, the Island Boys’ stream was terminated and Kick deactivated the account on the website. At the time of writing, the brothers remain banned from the platform for an undetermined period of time.

This development comes only a few weeks after Kick introduced an IRL category on the platform in order to distinguish the streams from the Just Chatting category. Additionally, it empowers Kick staff to effectively moderate any issues that may arise.

The Island Boys have previously been involved in conflicts while streaming. In April 2024, Jack Doherty expressed anger when the brothers kicked his girlfriend in the head during a scuffle.

Merely a month later, Tristan Tate criticized Kick for featuring the Island Boys on their platform, referring to the Stake-owned streaming service as “garbage”in the process.
