Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson has recently addressed the performance of what he labels as his “worst performing” YouTube video. Despite his predictions that this upload wouldn’t gain traction like his previous work, he remains undeterred and committed to his philanthropic mission.

MrBeast is not only recognized for his entertaining and extravagant YouTube content but also for his extensive charitable efforts. Through his channel, MrBeast Philanthropy, all generated revenue is reinvested into various charity projects he runs, demonstrating a strong commitment to societal betterment.

Facing criticism in the past regarding the monetization of these charitable videos, Donaldson has defended his approach, explaining that funding is essential for his projects to thrive. Regardless of viewer engagement, he expresses considerable joy in making a positive impact, stating that his motivation lies in helping those in need.

Predictions of Poor Performance: A Look at His Latest Upload

On February 15, MrBeast stated that his upcoming video titled I Built 10 Schools Around the World was likely to become his “worst performing video” in several years. Released on February 21, the video indeed fell short compared to his typical view counts within the first 24 hours.

After the video’s release, MrBeast took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his thoughts on its performance.“Basically how I thought it’d perform, ” he commented, displaying the initial view statistics. Despite the numbers, he conveyed his love for the project, declaring it one of his favorites to create. He added, “It feels weird filming videos I know will perform long term 70% worse than others, but I don’t care if it gets 0 views; I just want to help people in need.”

Currently, the video has amassed over 27 million views, which is considerably low compared to his other recent works. Notably, his preceding video, Ages 1 – 100 Race For $250, 000, captured more than 66 million views. Collectively, both projects still trail behind his average of over 100 million views from earlier uploads.

Undeterred by declining viewership for his philanthropic videos, Donaldson highlighted a substantial global issue, stating, “It breaks my heart that over 200 million children don’t have access to safe education.” His aim is to motivate viewers to become more involved and support educational initiatives worldwide.
