The post featured screenshots shared by the original poster (OP) of people discussing IVE’s highly anticipated performance at Lollapalooza. There was a strong belief among many that the group would be hailed as the “next LE SSERAFIM,”given their past criticism for live vocals during encore stages.
The anticipation of Korean LE SSERAFIM fans, who are also known as FEARNOTs, was that IVE would fail at the music festival. This belief stemmed from LE SSERAFIM’s previous backlash over their live vocals going international. It was believed that any idol group facing controversy over their singing would receive severe criticism. Furthermore, it was observed that defending the group would most likely not be effective.
In addition, they noted that with the return of IVE this month, a larger audience is expected to tune in to their encore stage and witness their live singing performance.
Korean Netizens Discuss the VE Lollapalooza Controversy
Upon the post’s publication, netizens quickly flocked to the comment section to express their opinions. In contrast to the OP’s statement, the majority of netizens are confident in IVE’s ability to perform live.
Ever since “I AM,”IVE’s vocal ability has significantly improved, according to observations. The group’s recent concert also received praise for their vocals, specifically Ahn Yujin and Liz who were applauded for their stability. Furthermore, Leeseo, Rei, and Jang Wonyoung have proven their vocal skills, while Gaeul stands out for her rapping abilities.
As a result, they are confident that IVE will not face any issues.
