More tiny GPUs are on the way & they could transform your PC gaming setup

Nvidia is promoting the trend of small form factor PC builds by releasing new guidelines for its partners. These guidelines aim to assist individuals interested in creating compact PCs.

The best choice for PC gaming enthusiasts has traditionally been a full-size PC tower case due to its versatility in accommodating compatible components and providing superior airflow. However, this may soon change with Nvidia’s new initiative that advocates for small form factor PC builds.

The label will be given to both existing and new cards that adhere to Nvidia’s specifications, although the specific language used in these specifications is currently not known.

The guidelines will cover more than just Mini-ITX compatible graphics cards; compact cards in other form factors will also be considered in the program. Additionally, the program may expand to include other components such as PC cases, power supplies, and more, all of which could potentially receive the Nvidia SFF stamp of approval.

An Nvidia representative stated that there is a growing trend among enthusiasts to opt for Small Form Factor chassis for their ideal rigs. However, when it comes to building around the latest enthusiast GPUs, it can be difficult to find the most suitable components for an SFF (Small Form Factor) build.

NVIDIA has created form factor guidelines in order to assist Gamers in selecting the most suitable GeForce RTX GPU and components for their SFF build. These guidelines specify the dimensions and clearances required for enthusiast graphics cards and SFF chassis, establishing a universal standard for AIC and chassis manufacturers to facilitate the process of building SFF Gaming PCs and ensuring a positive experience.

Nvidia has yet to confirm a launch date for the SFF program, but it is anticipated to happen in the near future.
