Recently, controversial streamer Jack Doherty found himself in a precarious situation when he was approached by Child Protective Services (CPS) following reports of alleged child abuse. This development occurred after he reportedly ‘crashed’ one of his high-end vehicles while streaming.
Jack Doherty, a well-known figure in the social media landscape, made headlines in October 2024 when he crashed his lavish $200, 000 McLaren during a live broadcast. He added to his notoriety by claiming he had wrecked another vehicle, a powder blue BMW, in a video posted in July 2025.“I think it’s time I officially get off the road, but hey, we’ve got more at home, ” he quipped to his followers.

Investigation by Child Protective Services
Following this supposed car accident, Jack was streaming live when an agent accompanied by two police officers identified themselves as representatives of CPS. They informed him of the investigation concerning allegations of child abuse.
During the encounter, the agent stated, “These allegations are kind of serious, and I do have to go one-on-one [with you].” However, Jack responded with, “But I don’t have a kid, so…” The agent clarified, “I know, but that’s why I gotta address this with you so we can close out this case.”
One of the officers added, “The only reason we’re here is, anytime they go somewhere, law enforcement goes to keep them safe.” The agent also reassured him that the matter was confidential, claiming, “no one else is on the report except [Jack].”
The incident has been documented by YouTuber Atozy, whose coverage can be accessed at 3:26 in the video below:
After his conversation with the CPS agent, Jack resumed his stream, recounting that he had been asked multiple questions to confirm he was not abusing children. He expressed frustration regarding the situation, emphasizing that he is frequently targeted by online trolls.“This is different, ” he lamented.“Someone literally called the f**kin’ child protective services and reported me.…I can’t believe people can just do that. This is a new form of swatting.”
While the authenticity of this encounter remains uncertain, it’s essential to note that impersonating law enforcement officers is a serious offense under U. S.law, as outlined here.
Jack Doherty is not alone in facing allegations or reports from CPS; other content creators, including Ethan and Hila Klein from H3H3, have also claimed to have been reported amid their well-publicized disputes, underscoring a troubling trend within the online content community.
