Twitch streamer JasonTheWeen has recanted his initial support for singer D4vd following the revelation of new evidence in the investigation of a body discovered in a vehicle affiliated with the artist.

On September 8, 2025, law enforcement officials uncovered a body in the front trunk of a Tesla registered to D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. The victim was identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas, who had been reported missing since April 2024.

Streamer Revises Stance Amid Controversy

In a live stream on September 19, Jason responded to the escalating situation and distanced himself from D4vd, asserting, “I do not condone anything that D4vd has done or is doing. That shit is wicked and just unbelievable.” This marked a significant shift from his earlier defense of the artist.

Jason had previously defended D4vd during a stream with fellow content creator Ludwig, claiming, “He [D4vd] didn’t do it. He literally performed the next day. If he was a suspect, the police would have been after him.” However, as the investigation progressed, public sentiment forced him to rethink his position.

Additionally, Jason clarified that a girl named Celeste he had previously met at the FaZe House is not the same individual who was found in D4vd’s vehicle. He further emphasized, “I’m not even close friends with D4vd. I made a song with him. I had dinner with him one time in a group setting. That’s it.”

In light of these developments, D4vd has canceled the remainder of his U. S.tour. The decision was announced mere hours after authorities confirmed the identity of the deceased. D4vd’s management team has yet to release a public statement, although reports indicate he is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
