“Sorry Not Sorry”Faces Early Challenges
Premiering on December 5th, KBS N’s new drama, “Sorry Not Sorry“, is encountering difficulties in viewership, with its ratings lingering in the 0% range for the past three episodes. Starting at a modest 0.3%, the latest episode has only seen a slight increase to 0.4%.
A Return to Dramatic Storytelling
This production marks KBS N’s return to the drama scene after a decade-long hiatus. During the press conference, Director Min characterized the series as “a comprehensive gift set of comedy, family, healing, and growth,” highlighting its narratives focusing on new towns, as well as the experiences of women in their 30s and motherhood.
Fresh Faces and New Beginnings
In her first role since departing from “Running Man” , Jeon So-min portrays Ji Song-yi, a divorced woman who navigates life by pretending to be married. Excitement radiated from her comments about the project: “I was searching for something bright and refreshing, and I’m thankful that ‘Sorry Not Sorry’ came my way.”
Supporting Cast and Character Dynamics
Choi Daniel plays Cha Hyun-woo, a divorce lawyer, while Kim Moo-jun takes on the role of Kim Ian, an upbeat café owner. The series introduces Gong Min-jeung as Choi Hana, a devoted friend managing her career and motherhood with “miracle mornings,” and Jang Hee-ryung stars as Ahn Chanyang, a wealthy family’s youngest daughter, providing humor and depth to the storyline.

During the press conference, an unexpected announcement came from Gong Min-jeung, sharing her pregnancy news. In light of this, the production team has thoughtfully adjusted her character’s storyline, showcasing their support and commitment to the cast’s well-being.

When probed about the drama’s performance, Jeon So-min shared her perspective, stating, “While achieving high ratings would be wonderful, I’ll consider the drama a success if I hear comments like, ‘I’m enjoying Sorry Not Sorry’ in casual conversations. By December, I hope audiences will connect with my character, Ji Song.”

The synergy among the cast has been particularly noted, with Jeon So-min praising Choi Daniel as “a master of romantic comedies,” recognizing his talent for enhancing on-screen romance.
