During her interview with Nylon, BLACKPINK member Jisoo shared her thoughts on reaching the age of 30.
On January 3, Jisoo marked her 29th birthday, signaling the start of her final year in her 20s. As she approaches her 30s, the idol opened up about her thoughts on this transition in a recent interview.
In contrast, even though she is in her 30s in South Korea, Jisoo is still confident and not afraid of reaching this milestone unlike others who may fear it.
Despite the common feeling of weight and introspection that comes with bidding farewell to one’s 20s, Jisoo stands out as an exception. Her confidence in the significant personal growth she has experienced since debuting at 21 years old as a member of BLACKPINK under YG Entertainment sets her apart.
Jisoo expressed to Nylon that since her debut, she has seen growth in both herself as an individual and as an artist, thanks to the strong teamwork and mutual support among her team.
When questioned about any advice she would give to her younger self, Jisoo responded by saying she has none. She firmly believes in her younger self and is confident that she will stand by her choices with pride.
She expressed, “Despite any advice I may offer, I have faith that she will remain true to herself and make decisions confidently, as she always has.”
Jisoo is on the verge of completing her twenties with an impressive list of accomplishments. As a member of BLACKPINK, she has toured around the world, made history by being the first K-pop group to headline at Coachella, and received the prestigious title of Time’s Entertainer of the Year in 2022.
Despite being a soloist, Jisoo has managed to secure ambassadorships with luxury brands Dior and Cartier. In 2023, she launched her solo career with the release of her debut mini-album “Me.”Additionally, she solidified her position as a K-pop superstar by establishing her own label, Blissoo.
