Joe Rogan’s Thoughts on Jake Paul and Mike Tyson’s Upcoming Fight

In March, there was a surprising announcement that Jake Paul and Mike Tyson would be facing each other in a boxing match, much to the shock of the internet and boxing community. Although the two had hinted at a potential fight a couple of years ago, it was believed to be unlikely due to their high financial demands.

The long-awaited match between them is set for July, and they have already begun exchanging insults in their usual manner. Jake has boldly stated that one of them will meet their demise after the fight, while ‘Iron’ Mike is advising the ‘Problem Child’ not to back out before the big night.

Although Tyson has had a remarkable boxing career, many believe that the 31-year age difference between them makes Jake, the YouTuber-turned-boxer, the favorite. Joe Rogan, who has previously praised Jake, is not surprised by this assessment but still considers Tyson to be a formidable and intimidating fighter.

During episode 2148 of the JRE Podcast, Joe Rogan expressed his belief that Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer. He acknowledged that many people initially mocked him for this opinion, but now he sees others starting to come around. In Rogan’s eyes, if Paul had not gained fame as a YouTuber at a young age, and if he had simply been seen boxing and defeating former UFC champions and other legitimate boxers, he would be recognized as a skilled fighter. According to Rogan, there is nothing about Paul’s performance that suggests otherwise.

“He is performing well and looks good. Despite Tyson’s age of 57, the fact that he is willing to fight him shows his bravery and willingness to take a risk on Tyson’s abilities not being what they used to be.”

Rogan assured his guest, Sebastian Maniscalco, that despite his past struggles, Tyson still retains much of his skill and ability, as evidenced by his training videos.

“Despite his injuries, watching him strike those pads, it is clear that he has not lost all of his skills. He may not be at his full potential, but he still possesses the abilities of a professional Heavyweight boxer. One should never underestimate a 27-year-old fighting against a 58-year-old.”

Therefore, he will eagerly watch the fight on the night of the event as a spectator.
