The only officially recognized game set in the John Wick universe, John Wick Hex, is facing removal from all gaming platforms, just six years after its initial release.

When contemplating adaptations into video games, the John Wick franchise stands out remarkably. The character, portrayed by Keanu Reeves, embodies a lone warrior with a gripping narrative, taking on waves of adversaries with unparalleled style.

The universe of John Wick is brimming with opportunities for engaging gameplay, featuring stringent codes in The Continental and a web of intrigue woven around The High Table and its key players. However, despite the significant time that has passed since the first film debuted 11 years ago, and rumors of a major game in development, we have only seen a single substantial title emerge.

Upcoming Removal of John Wick Hex

John Wick Hex is scheduled for removal from all platforms on July 17, 2025, as confirmed by publisher Big Fan Games. This means that after this date, purchasing a digital version of the game will no longer be an option.

If you already own the game, whether digitally or physically, you will still maintain access. Now is an ideal time to consider acquiring it, as soon it will be virtually unavailable for purchase. By the week’s end, finding a new digital copy of John Wick Hex could become an elusive task, limited to the rarer physical versions.

While Big Fan Games has not disclosed the rationale behind this decision, speculation suggests it may stem from the expiration of a licensing agreement. However, this remains unverified.

This scenario is reminiscent of prior instances in the gaming industry where licenses have lapsed, such as with Death Stranding and its collaboration with Monster Energy. Still, the complete delisting of a game is relatively uncommon.
