The battle against Jujutsu Kaisen ‘s most powerful enemy is in full swing, after the tragic disappearances of many exorcists. No man’s land is littered with the corpses of characters appreciated by the fan community, and the tension has reached yet another new level: because this time it is Yuta who has just made his entrance, and is ready to fight.
Chapter 249 was teased during an interview with the manga editor, and it was indeed as surprising as we had been told: because fans were able to discover the extension of Yuta’s territory, long kept secret by author Gege Akutami.
Resorting to such a technique is not done completely out of desperation: Yuta assessed the situation and analyzed everything, to launch his plan, hatched in advance in the event that Hiromi’s did not work. The real objective is to prevent Sukuna from using his four arms, weaken him, and thus provide an opening for Yuji to use his technique and force the soul of the king of plagues to leave Megumi’s body.

Readers found out what happened after Yuta cut off Kenjaku’s head, freeing the body of Satoru Gojo’s best friend in the process. Thanks to Rika, the exorcist succeeds in stemming the flow of plagues released upon the death of the big villain.
However, the latter succeeds, in a final moment of lucidity, in adding a new rule to the Deadly Hunt: from now on, Megumi Fushiguro will be able to continue her work for the fusion of the Japanese population with Master Tengen. Problem: in Megumi’s body, there is Sukuna, who begins to think that this fusion could help him find an opponent capable of properly entertaining him.
Yuta therefore flies to Yuji’s aid, and deploys his extension of territory against the king of plagues. Chapter 250 will certainly reveal more about the techniques to which the exorcist has access in his territory, while offering a fight which will surely be worth the detour.
As for Yuji, we know that he somehow has the ability to extract Sukuna’s soul from Megumi’s body. Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 250 will likely explain this new power further: is it a brand new spell, or leftovers from living with Sukuna?
