Chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen opens with Yuji Itadori reflecting on Megumi’s words about what would have brought him true happiness. He imagines a world where his sister, Tsumiki, does not have to endure suffering and they can share simple joys like eating home-cooked meals and admiring the sunlight on drying clothes. Most importantly, he envisions Tsumiki walking by his side, accompanied by someone like him. Unfortunately, it appears that Megumi has resigned herself to the impossibility of these dreams.

After his time at Jujutsu High, Yuji has come to understand the difficulties of life that he had previously overlooked. This includes his grandfather’s choice to forego treatment in order to avoid suffering from the side effects, as well as the reasons behind euthanasia. As a result, Yuji now realizes the overwhelming nature of confronting these struggles for the remainder of his life, to the point where he cannot even bring himself to ask Megumi to keep on living.

In chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen, Sukuna attempts to employ the Hollow Wicker Basket, an Anti-Domain Technique. It is mentioned that Gojo possesses a means to restore his brain and reset a Cursed Technique that has been nullified by a Domain. However, this process would be too risky with Sukuna’s brain still under the influence of Unlimited Void.

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 266, it is revealed that Hollow Wicker Basket and Simple Domain have lower power levels compared to Domains that materialize mental images. While it may be effective in temporarily delaying the Domains’ attacks, it is ultimately inevitable to be overwhelmed by their force.

Despite the weak output of Sukuna’s Hollow Wicker Basket, he is able to counteract it by continuing the palm signs after activation. This allows him to maintain his fighting strength without being overpowered by Yuji’s Domain.

After seeing Yuji take a swing at Sukuna, fans witness Sukuna respond with an elbow to Yuji’s head and toss him away. Despite taking a few more hits, Yuji manages to get back on his feet. At the same time, Sukuna remains furious about Yuji’s disrespect and is determined to exact revenge on all of humanity.

In chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen, a young Megumi is shown looking at Yuji with a perplexed expression. Yuji, with tears in his eyes, expresses his feeling of loneliness without Megumi.

Upon returning to the battlefield, Sukuna is struck with the realization that one of his legs has vanished and his powerful techniques, the Malevolent Shrine and Ten Shadows, are no longer effective. This revelation leads him to understand that Yuji’s Dismantle ability has successfully revived Megumi, who is currently fighting back despite being confined to the Bath.

Yuji’s attack propels Sukuna through the air, prompting a smile from Yuji as he comprehends the situation. He proceeds to unleash a flurry of punches aimed at Sukuna’s head. Sukuna worries that his Reverse Cursed Technique may not be sufficient to match Yuji’s onslaught and fears that his Hollow Wicker Basket may break under the pressure.

At that moment, in chapter 266 of Jujutsu Kaisen, when Yuji’s gauntlet breaks and exposes a hand with two absent fingers, his initial reaction is that Sukuna has restored his Cursed Technique. He comes to the realization that Sukuna has utilized Gojo’s Burnt-Out Cursed Technique. The King of Curses proceeds to unleash his Domain.

In a surprising turn of events, readers are presented with an unexpected scene at the end of the chapter – Sukuna’s finger hanging from the bottom of a winding spiral staircase. This particular finger was believed to have been devoured by Rika, but it appears that this may not have been the case.
