The release date for Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268 was September 2, 2024. In this chapter, Itadori delivered Gojo’s final message to Megumi and Nobara. This once again showed the depth of the Honored One’s concern for his students. However, his words to Nobara were met with controversy as he revealed the location of her mother.

The author emphasized the Honored One’s relationship with his parents in the character’s booklet. After Ryomen Sukuna’s downfall, Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 268 showed Nobara and Yuji organizing a surprise for Megumi, but their plan was thwarted when Megumi woke up earlier than expected. The trio then discussed the current situation, and Yuji presented two letters from their mentor for Megumi and Nobara. However, as Yuji had already consulted with Gojo, he did not require a letter.

Megumi’s letter exemplified Gojo’s twisted sense of humor as he confessed to being the one responsible for the death of Megumi’s father, Toji. Despite the gravity of the situation, Megumi responded with laughter. Nobara’s reaction to the letter was also noteworthy, as she was enraged upon reading it.

The letter disclosed the location of her mother, a fact that the female sorcerer was not particularly pleased to know. Nonetheless, it demonstrated the depth of the Honored One’s concern for his students.

Nobara’s response to the letter suggested that she may have had a disagreement with her mother, possibly stemming from her departure for Tokyo. It is possible that Gojo was aware of this and made an effort to locate her mother in order to help resolve any tension between them. This is especially significant considering the troubled relationship that the Honored One had with his own parents.

In the official Gojo Satoru booklet of Jujutsu Kaisen, a fan inquired about the relationship between Gojo and his parents and if they were renowned sorcerers. Gege Akutami, the author, responded by mentioning that the parents of the present’s strongest sorcerer were of high status in the Jujutsu community.

Despite their status as parents, they were not as influential as their son. His rapid ascent in society created a rift between them, leaving them unable to connect with him or be involved in his life. In contrast, Gojo’s efforts to locate Nobara’s mother demonstrated his deep care for his students and his desire for them to have fulfilling lives.

In addition to Nobara, Gojo had also previously gone out of his way to ensure that Itadori and Megumi had the opportunity to live a proper life. Despite having killed Toji, Gojo still honored his enemy’s final wish and brought Megumi to Jujutsu High instead of turning him over to the Zenin clan, allowing him to become a respected sorcerer.

Additionally, following Itadori’s possession by the most perilous cursed spirit in the annals of Jujutsu, Gojo intervened and prevented him from being executed by defending him in front of the Jujutsu High executives.
