Jujutsu Kaisen Panel: Foreshadowing in Gojo’s Most Ridiculed Moment

Throughout the Jujutsu Kaisen series, Satoru Gojo has had numerous iconic moments. However, one moment that remains particularly memorable is when he was unsealed and immediately challenged Sukuna to a battle, confidently stating that he would emerge victorious.

Despite being a highly anticipated moment in the series, this specific panel of the manga ended up being heavily criticized. This was mainly due to Gojo’s failure to uphold his own words and his apparent death in chapter 236 of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga.

Despite this, chapter 260, which was just released, strongly implies that Gojo may once again come back from the brink of death. While it has not been officially confirmed, the panel in which he confidently declares victory before his showdown with Sukuna may foreshadow his eventual return in the Jujutsu Kaisen series.

How One Scene in Jujutsu Kaisen May Have Hinted at Satoru Gojo’s Return

In the 221st chapter of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, the highly anticipated return of Satoru Gojo occurred. After being unsealed, Gojo immediately set out to confront and defeat Kenjaku in order to properly lay his former best friend’s body to rest.

Despite encountering Sukuna, he boldly challenged him to a confrontation on December 24. When Kenjaku expressed doubt in his abilities, Gojo confidently proclaimed that he would emerge victorious in the clash.

Although this moment was initially celebrated as one of Satoru Gojo’s greatest achievements, his supposed demise sparked ridicule from fans, who turned it into a humorous meme that poked fun at his overconfidence. This panel became so widely mocked that it soon became one of the most recognizable memes in recent memory.

Despite this, the latest installment of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga, chapter 260, appears to have brought about a change for Gojo and his supporters. In the final pages, Sukuna comes across a shadowy figure that he had previously buried. The narration reveals that this figure is the spirit of ‘the Strongest,’ suggesting that it is none other than Gojo himself.

Despite Sukuna being on the brink of defeat, the figure he saw in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260 could be either a mere illusion or a hallucination of the most formidable adversary he has encountered. While this may not be an unusual occurrence in the world of animanga, followers of the series are eagerly anticipating the potential return of their beloved character.

If Gojo is indeed revealed in the next chapter of the manga, it will undoubtedly become the most buzzed-about moment in the manga community. This will also add a new depth to Gojo’s well-known “Nah, I’d Win”scene from the manga, proving that his confidence in his powers was not entirely unwarranted.

If Gojo were to face Sukuna in his current state, it is highly likely that he would emerge victorious. By defeating the King of Curses after coming back from the brink of death, Gojo would have proven himself and silenced all the criticism he received after his initial defeat.

This would not only be Gojo’s greatest accomplishment in the entire series, but it would also stand as the single greatest foreshadowing ever seen in the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Nevertheless, the potential reemergence of Gojo in the current arc could potentially diminish the sacrifices and hard work put in by the other characters to defeat Sukuna. It could also shift the focus away from Yuji Itadori, who is currently fully dedicated to defeating the King of Curses. This has left many Jujutsu Kaisen fans torn about the possibility of Gojo’s reappearance in the series.
