The Jujutsu Kaisen manga will resume after its break, but readers are already excited: because the publisher has confirmed that the events of the next chapters will be “shocking” and “surprising” .

The Jujutsu Kaisen manga is currently in its home stretch: in no man’s land, the exorcists face the formidable Sukuna at the risk of their lives, while Kenjaku’s fate is not yet final.

The final chapters showed Yuji and Hiromi facing the King of Banes. The former lawyer managed to obtain the Executioner’s Sword, the only way to get rid of their enemy while saving Megumi, but he succumbed to Sukuna’s blows. Yuji then appeared to strike… and chapter 247 ended there, in unbearable suspense.

Especially since the break that followed extended the time without news of our heroes. But while the publication of Gege Akutami’s manga will soon resume, the publisher spoke in an interview. And that doesn’t bode well for the characters of Jujutsu Kaisen.

Jujutsu Kaisen publisher teases “incredible” manga return

In a recent interview translated into English and available on Twitter/X, the editor of Jujutsu Kaisen, Junya Kukuda, returned to the manga that is about to make a comeback. In the video, we learn that he was reviewing the drafts of chapter 249 – which will not be published until February 2024.

And the drawings, although blurred for spectators, remained perfectly visible for journalists. The host then reacted very quickly upon learning that these were sketches for chapter 249: “Oh! That’s why I’ve never seen this scene before.” To which Fukuda replied: “It’s a shocking scene.” The host wanted to detail a little more: “It’s an extraordinary scene. But I really can’t look away from it.”

If Internet users have not been able to see the image in question, theories are already going well on social networks: we are already expecting a turnaround as shocking, if not more, than that of the death of Satoru Gojo.

In addition to revealing shocking events for the rest of the manga, the publisher confirmed that he already knows the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen, which he not only approved, but above all adored. In the meantime, readers will have to wait for Chapter 248, scheduled for January 21, 2024.
