Jujutsu Kaisen: Yuji’s unexpected technique finally revealed?

After keeping readers waiting for many years, Jujutsu Kaisen finally revealed Yuji’s technique – and it’s quite unexpected. We will explain everything to you.

Jujutsu Kaisen has long hidden the powers of its protagonist Yuji Itadori. But the manga having entered its home stretch, it was only a matter of weeks before the series finally released the information. It is now done, but the fate of the hero is surprising. As if the power system in Gege Akutami’s work wasn’t already complex enough, Yuji’s case is even more unique.

Not being born with an innate or inherited technique, his abilities are limited. Especially against formidable opponents like Mahito, for whom he needs the help of Nobara and Aoi Todo. But that absolutely does not mean that Yuji is weak, no offense to Sukuna.

An unexpected technique for Yuji already in chapter 244 of Jujutsu Kaisen?

According to a fan theory, Yuji actually managed to master Piercing Blood.

“This piercing blood comes from Yuji. Sukuna says it’s Choso’s technique, not that Choso himself used it. Although it is not explicitly shown, it was Yuji who attacked Sukuna with the armor-piercing blood here.

Where Choso and Yuji are technically brothers, nothing explains how the teenager could have inherited such a technique. But Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 244 seems to have already filled in the gaps, featuring a brief flashback beforethe battle against Sukuna, in which Yuji thanks Noritoshi Kamo for having trained, specifying in passing how bad Choso is in the role of teacher.

This would be a very clear clue to the young man’s learning of blood manipulation, provided by Noritoshi and Choso. However, this doesn’t mean that this is the only thing Yuji is capable of. Because if we go back a little further in the story, there is this strange interaction between the young exorcist and Kusakabe, in chapter 222. An exchange which had sowed confusion among the fans, to finally be. confirmed in volume 25 of the paper manga

Yuji and Kusakabe were training together, and Yuji seemed to easily defeat his superior. However, right after, he addressed Kusakabe as Itadori. The new volume of the manga, recently published, has confirmed the scene: the duo has indeed exchanged bodies.

The author Gege Akutami also added a small illustration at the end of the chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, driving the point home: here we go sees Kusakabe in Yuji’s body, enjoying his youth.
