Jujutsu Kaisen’s Next Six Eyes User: The New Threat to Sukuna, and Not Gojo

The latest chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, chapter 260, featured a final panel that hinted at the revival of Satoru Gojo. However, the story seems to imply that he will not be the one making a comeback. The chapter’s ambiguous presentation of the return has sparked a new fan theory, suggesting that the individual who appeared could be the next Six Eyes user.

For quite some time, fans of Jujutsu Kaisen have speculated that Yuta Okkotsu may have inherited the Six Eyes, which could explain his absence from recent chapters.

After Yuji Itadori failed to reach Megumi Fushiguro, Ryomen Sukuna took him out. There has been no sign of Yuta, which could possibly explain the situation and also aligns with the lore in the series.

I would like to inform readers that this article includes spoilers for the series.

A New Theory Explains How Yuta Inherited the Six Eyes from Gojo in Jujutsu Kaisen

Since the final panel of chapter 260 of the manga hinted at the possibility of Satoru Gojo’s return to life, there have been numerous fan theories discussing how this could have occurred.

Nevertheless, an intriguing theory proposes that Yuta Okkotsu’s character may be the one depicted in the final panel, now possessing the Six Eyes.

According to this theory, there will always be a Six Eyes user. This has been supported by the evidence that Kenjaku had killed one in the past and, despite this, another one emerged during the merger.

As a result, he decided to seal Satoru Gojo during the Shibuya Incident arc. However, with the news of Gojo’s death at the hands of Ryomen Sukuna, there is a possibility that Yuta, who is also from the same family lineage, may have inherited this power.

Despite its logical consistency within the fictional universe and Yuta’s absence in recent battle chapters, the flaw with this theory remains the same as Gojo’s potential comeback.

In chapter 260, Sukuna found himself in a difficult situation with Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo. Therefore, it would not make sense for author Gege Akutami to introduce an upgraded Yuta or a powerful version of Gojo, as this would eliminate any suspense from the story.

It is highly likely that the upcoming chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen will delve into the panel that alluded to Gojo’s potential comeback, potentially confirming his return.

As previously stated, should he be confirmed to return, it will be intriguing to witness his involvement in the ultimate confrontation, especially considering Sukuna’s significant decline in power due to the sorcerers’ efforts. Currently, Yuji and Todo have him on the defensive.

Additionally, the same can be said for Yuta, whose circumstances are even more perplexing than Gojo’s. Yuta was also struck by one of Sukuna’s Slashes when Yuji was unable to save Megumi Fushiguro. However, Yuta has not reappeared in the story, leaving uncertainty about his current state of being.

Final thoughts

It is highly likely that Yuta Okkotsu has inherited Satoru Gojo’s Six Eyes following Gojo’s death in battle against Ryomen Sukuna, and he may be the figure depicted in the final panel of Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 260.

Similarly, author Gege Akutami would need to provide an explanation for this event, just as they would have to for Gojo’s potential return, in order to maintain consistency within the context.
