The 18th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump, released on Monday, April 1, 2024 at 12 am JST, featured the release of Kagurabachi chapter 27. This chapter introduced a new character, Mr. Inazuma, and showcased an intriguing development in the plot as Chihiro infiltrated the Rakuzaichi building and wielded Kuregumo.
In the previous chapter of Kagurabachi, Chihiro Rokuhira utilized the hidden abilities of his sword, Enten, to gather information on the Rakuzaichi auction’s warehouse. He explained his method of activating an Enchanted Blade from a distance, which he learned after receiving reports of Sojo’s clash with the Kamunabi elite squad.
Kagurabachi chapter 27: Chihiro’s heroic rescue at the Rakuzaichi auction
In chapter 27 of Kagurabachi, titled “Mr. Inazuma,”Kyora Sazanami wraps up the preparations for the auction. As he does so, it dawns on him that it has been five days since the submission of Enten, and Chihiro has yet to make a move. Despite this, he maintains his composure.
Additionally, at the Rakuzaichi auction, a gentleman sporting round glasses and a mustache provides a detailed explanation of the security measures in place. Although the event attracts numerous high-ranking figures from the criminal world, only three individuals are permitted entry to the auction.
The remaining members stay outside to patrol the area, while the Sazanami clan is tasked with maintaining underground security. In chapter 27 of Kagurabachi, a man presents a leaflet and reveals that there is a unique aspect to this year’s auction.
The brochure showcases Chihiro Rokuhira’s information, which includes a reward of ¥50 million for his capture. The management believes that there is a strong possibility that the Enten user will appear at the auction.
In Kagurabachi chapter 27, it is revealed that the mysterious man has been communicating with Shiba all along. Chihiro’s mentor informs him that the boy’s death would result in the breaking of the eternal contract between Enten and its wielder, making the sword wieldable once again.
The unnamed man goes on to detail how the city knowingly ignores the corrupt dealings that occur at the Rakuzaichi auction. As no one is brave enough to intervene, the guards have little to do.
Yuu Inazuma Searches for His Sister at the Rakuzaichi Auction
Shortly after, in chapter 27 of Kagurabachi, a young boy by the name of Yuu Inamuza (who prefers to be called Mr. Inazuma) makes his way into the Rakuzaichi auction building. Upon being caught by a guard, he explains that his motive for intruding is to rescue his sister, who has been listed as “merchandise”in the auction.
Despite being mocked by a guard, the courageous boy retrieves a pocket knife and stabs it into his hand. In the meantime, Chihiro Rokuhira manages to successfully infiltrate the Rakuzaichi auction. Chapter 27 of Kagurabachi reveals that his injured right hand has since been healed.
The man wearing glasses takes notice of Chihiro’s scars and questions if he is truly the person they are looking for. However, Shiba points out that he does not match the description on the leaflets as he still has both of his arms.
Chihiro’s mentor assumes that the boy must have arrived early and acted independently due to the commotion happening below. He then informs the unnamed man that he will be going to assist Chihiro, leaving the man feeling a bit perplexed.
Chihiro and Kuregumo rescue Yuu from danger
Kagurabachi chapter 27 revisits Yuu’s whereabouts, where he reflects on memories of his sister. He recalls her words about lightning, how she believed it only struck those who were wicked. With this in mind, Yuu is determined to use the same punishment on the guards.
With tears streaming down his face and determination in his heart, the boy makes a solemn promise to unleash the “Thunder of Justice”upon his enemies in order to rescue his sister. Enraged, the guard makes the decision to take Yuu’s life. But then, out of nowhere, Chihiro appears and swiftly strikes the guard’s hand, freeing the boy.
The boy is praised for his bravery and given reassurance that the situation will be handled. The guards then recognize Chihiro’s scar, which causes a chandelier to fall from the ceiling (most likely dropped by Shiba), resulting in a blackout.
In the midst of the chaos, the Rakuzaichi guards reassure each other that they need not fear Chihiro, as he is only armed with a regular sword. This is further emphasized in Kagurabachi chapter 27, which includes a brief flashback featuring Chihiro and Shiba.
Before they arrived, Chihiro informed Shiba that he would handle the troublemakers, as he had already decided to take on that responsibility long ago. After that, Kagurabachi comes back to the present and reveals a significant plot twist.
As the darkness enveloped them, Chihiro Rokuhira drew his sword, Kuregumo, and uttered the words “Mei”(lightning). A sudden spark revealed his face, which remained emotionless but determined. The 27th chapter of Kagurabachi came to a close with the clock striking twelve and Kyora Sazanami launching the Rakuzaichi auction.
