Kagurabachi Chapter 37: Chihiro Rokuhira Retrieves Enten with Hakuri’s Aid, While the Cloud Gouger Perishes

On Monday, June 17, 2024, at 12 am JST, the latest installment of Kagurabachi, chapter 37, was published in Weekly Shonen Jump issue #29. In this chapter, Hakuri Sazanami showcases his Storehouse ability to disrupt Kyora Sazanami’s spatial manipulation, allowing Chihiro to retrieve his Enten.

In Kagurabachi, Hakuri Sazanami successfully awakened his Storehouse and became the second person, after the Sazanami family’s first patriarch, to control both the Isou and the Storehouse. This was a significant accomplishment.

Hakuri utilized his exceptional intellect to focus his Spirit Energy and unleash a powerful Isou at Soya Sazanami, ultimately defeating him. Meanwhile, Chihiro Rokuhira bore witness to the passing of Tenri, who succumbed to the detrimental effects of holding the Datenseki for an extended period of time.

Kagurabachi Chapter 37 Highlights: Chihiro and Others Confront a Shocking Truth About the Emergency Door

In Kagurabachi chapter 37, entitled “Equal,”Shiba starts off by praising Hakuri for successfully awakening the Storehouse, alongside Isou. He is greatly impressed by the young boy’s development and sees immense potential in him as a sorcerer.

Despite Hakuri’s belief that Chihiro is the reason for their current situation, Chihiro believes that if he had not maintained his conviction, they would not have become equal allies. Hakuri, on the other hand, believes that it was Chihiro’s belief in him and decision to leave him behind that led to their current position.

In the meantime, Chapter 37 of Kagurabachi depicts the Tou members who had been unconscious regaining their senses and rushing towards the door to prevent Chihiro and the others from entering the Storehouse.

Despite noticing a crack on the Cloud Gouger, Chihiro believes it is a result of the blade’s powerful demonstration. Shiba quickly reassures him that the only remaining task is to retrieve Enten and conclude the auction.

Shiba’s musings in Kagurabachi chapter 37 revolve around the potential of utilizing Hakuri’s Storehouse to access the sub-space controlled by Kyora Sazanami. Nonetheless, it is later uncovered that Hakuri and Kyora occupy separate spaces, despite both possessing the same ability.

Therefore, the emergency exit door is the sole possibility for retrieving the blade. Nevertheless, in Kagurabachi chapter 37, readers are stunned to learn that the emergency door has been demolished.

Besides Chihiro, the Tou members who have just arrived at the scene are unable to comprehend what they are witnessing. It seems that they have been guarding something that has already been destroyed.

In Kagurabachi chapter 37, the focus shifts to Kyora Sazanami’s thoughts. The clan leader believes it is crucial to prevent Chihiro Rokuhira and Shiba from disrupting the auction. To achieve this, he sets them a goal, only to ultimately betray them.

Chihiro ponders if there was a purpose behind Tenri’s death, twin brother of Hakuri. Nevertheless, Kyora believes that the boy’s sacrifice exposed the Cloud Gouger user’s weaknesses.

Despite feeling demoralized, the Tou members are determined to avenge their younger brother’s death and therefore make preparations to attack the intruders.

Shiba ponders if their chances of winning were nonexistent from the beginning. Therefore, he proposes that Chihiro and Hakuri retreat for the time being, but they decline.

In Kagurabachi chapter 37, the focus shifts to the auction room, where Hakuri appears and interrupts the ongoing auction. Kyora Sazanami suspects that his son has come to the realization that their Storehouses are separate sub-spaces.

Despite using the same method, it is not possible to access each other’s space unless a strong connection exists. Kyora also admits to his mistake in comprehending Hakuri’s potential.

Despite becoming an enemy, Hakuri still yearns for his father’s acknowledgment and believes that there cannot be any connection between them. This is evident in Kagurabachi chapter 37.

Despite his strong lingering affection for his father, Hakuri Sazanami manages to successfully infiltrate Kyora’s Storehouse space. Just as he begins the infiltration process, Chihiro suddenly appears and offers her assistance to Hakuri.

Hakuri explains to Chihiro that the only thing he can do regarding the contents of the space is to send items from outside. In Kagurabachi chapter 37, the boy demonstrates this by using his abilities to send Chihiro into Kyora Sazanami’s storehouse.

The protagonist discovers Enten within the vault, while Kyora Sazanami is left stunned by the unfolding events. He uses his Storehouse to limit Chihiro’s movements, leading the boy to conclude that his damaged sword is now useless.

Despite his doubts, he maintains faith in his father’s invention and summons the last Mei from the Cloud Gouger to break through the limitations imposed by Kyora Saszanami. The 37th chapter of Kagurabachi then reveals a soliloquy from Chihiro, where he accepts that he is not on the same level as Hakuri.

Despite Hakuri Sazanami demonstrating his unwavering conviction to eradicate evil by incapacitating his family, Chihiro hesitates at the idea of harming his friend’s brothers. He believes he is not worthy to wield a Sacred Blade.

Nevertheless, Hakuri once more reminds him of his mission. The chapter concludes with him instructing Chihiro to defeat his father.
