On July 19th, Kim Soo-hyun made a guest appearance on the popular talk show, “Tetsuko’s Room,”which airs on Japan’s TV Asahi.

In the program, Kim Soo-hyun was asked if he believed “Queen of Tears”would be successful. He responded, “I don’t expect this project to become a big hit right away,”but he did feel that the themes of love, family, and marriage portrayed in the story would resonate with many viewers.

Kim Soo-hyun, who is famously referred to as the “crying genius” for his ability to deliver genuine crying scenes in all of his projects, recently shared, “I believe I have portrayed a great deal of emotional acting in my dramas. I am not sure how other actors are able to achieve it, but for me, the emphasis lies in conveying my sadness, pain, and joy rather than just shedding tears.” He further added, “I find that emotions can be effectively conveyed even without actual tears, and that is why I personally enjoy emotional acting.”

Kim Soo-hyun gained attention when he performed “Gingiragin ni sarigenaku”by Masahiko Kondo, which was originally released in 1981, at his fan meeting in Japan. When asked why he chose this particular song, he shared that it was a popular hit and was recommended by his mother.

In the program, Kim also shared insights about his childhood. “During my younger years, I enjoyed being lighthearted and amusing with my peers. However, as time passed, I became increasingly introverted,”Kim reminisced.

Despite being asked to write down his future career in school, Kim Soo-hyun, as a child, did not have a clear dream. This was a constant source of concern for both him and his mother. While his friends confidently wrote down professions like doctors and presidents, he struggled to come up with an answer every time. As a result, he grew up as an introvert. Acting was recommended to him by his mother, and he eventually started pursuing it.

“For my next project, which is a drama called ‘Knock-off,’ I plan to begin filming in August,”stated Kim.
