Sawako and Kazehaya become close friends and he helps her come out of her shell, resulting in her forming lasting friendships. As their friendship grows, Sawako develops feelings for Kazehaya. Little does she know, Kazehaya has been secretly admiring her since their first encounter when she left a lasting impression on him.

After facing painful misunderstandings and experiencing close heartbreaks towards the end of season 2, Sawako and Kazehaya finally resolve their issues. This leads to Sawako’s heartfelt confession reaching Kazehaya, who also confesses his true feelings. However, for those wanting to follow the storyline directly after the anime, it is recommended to start with chapter 47 in Volume 12.
