Comedian Shim Jin-hwa recently took to her SNS to share her thoughts on her algorithm, stating, “It’s crazy, Seon-jae ah.”She revealed that her algorithm is filled with Ryu Seon-jae from the drama “Lovely Runner”and the daily life updates of actor Byun Woo-seok, who portrays the character. In fact, she even visited Byun Woo-seok’s SNS account and left a brief comment of “Ha…”with a heart emoticon.
During a recent live broadcast, actress Park Bo-young mentioned the drama “Lovely Runner”after coming across a comment about it. She admitted to not having watched it, fearing it may get her into trouble.

Furthermore, during the first week of May, the drama exceeded “Queen of Tears”and secured the top spot in Good Data Corporation’s TV-OTT Drama Popularity Rankings. Its popularity saw a significant increase of 23% compared to the previous week. Notably, the main actors, Byun Woo-seok and Kim Hye-yoon, claimed the first and second positions on the popularity chart for the cast of TV-OTT dramas.
Despite the drama’s popularity, Byun Woo-seok, also known as “Ryu Sun-jae”, is actively engaging in promotional activities including joining the communication community Weverse, hosting a fanmeeting, and making appearances on entertainment shows. In contrast, Kim Hye-yoon’s agency has faced criticism from fans for not promoting the actress enough.
Additionally, “Lovely Runner”is a time-travel love story about Im Sol (Kim Hye-yoon) who travels back to 2008 to rescue her beloved celebrity Ryu Seon-jae (Byun Woo-seok) after his untimely passing. Adapted from Kim Bbang’s web novel “Tomorrow’s Best”, this series airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m.
