Today (17th), Korean media “SBS연예뉴스”reported that EXO members Sehun and Chanyeol will sign exclusive contracts with new companies other than SM Entertainment in order to carry out various personal activities.

According to reports, the two recently had a long conversation with SM to discuss the direction of their activities, and decided to transfer to a new company and reached an agreement, but the group’s activities will be carried out in SM as they are now. It was also revealed that the new company was established by Jung Hoon-tak (정훈탁), the former representative director of entertainment planning company iHQ.

Later, SM responded that it was not true that Sehun and Chanyeol signed a new company, and said: “The contract signed between SM and EXO members at the end of last year is valid, and EXO’s activities will continue to be carried out in SM.”It also added the direction of the members’ personal activities., stating that “it is limited to members’ personal activities. Under the exclusive contract with SM, if members are willing, they will be conditionally allowed to be carried out through the legal person company established by the member himself.”

In June this year, EXO members Baekhyun, Xiumin, and Chen experienced conflicts after they filed an exclusive contract dispute with SM, but the two parties resolved the conflict dramatically. Afterwards, EXO released its seventh full-length album “EXIST”and continued its activities with the title song “Cream Soda”.
