KSI’s Response to Jake Paul’s Fight Request After Mike Tyson’s Health Scare

Jake Paul’s attention has now turned towards KSI, as ‘The Problem Child’ has extended an invitation to the YouTube boxer to take the place of ‘Iron Mike’ on July 20.

Following Tyson’s in-flight medical emergency while traveling from Miami to Los Angeles, spectators started to question whether Paul would look for a substitute opponent.

Because of health concerns and upon the recommendation of medical experts, Tyson decided to postpone his match against Paul, possibly creating an opportunity for someone else to take his place.

According to Paul, he offered KSI the opportunity to perform in front of a full crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas through his X account.

Upon being proposed, KSI promptly rejected the notion of having a fight in July, stating that he “already has plans for a match in August.”

Instead, KSI proposed a fight with Paul in December, prompting a fiery response from the Cleveland, Ohio, native.

“I offered KSI and his forehead another chance for a fight in July. However, he has informed me that he already has a fight scheduled for August. That’s fine,”stated the 9-1 boxer in a tweet.

“My match is scheduled for October or November at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The weight class is 200 lbs and I am determined to make it happen.”

KSI publicly criticized Paul’s insincere reaction, informing supporters that Jake was not truly interested in fighting.

Despite not responding directly to KSI, Jake made sure to keep fans on their toes by sharing another teaser soon after their heated exchange on X.

In 2018, Jake Paul started his boxing journey by facing off against Deji, the younger brother of KSI.

‘The Problem Child’ emerged victorious in that fight by decision, and has since achieved a record of 8 wins and 1 loss in the ring, with his only defeat being against Tommy Fury.

KSI was also involved in the feud between Prime Hydration partners at the 2018 card, as he was the first to fight Logan Paul, Jake’s brother, on the same night as Jake and Deji.

The initial encounter between Logan and KSI resulted in a tie. However, they would have another showdown, and this time KSI would emerge as the winner through a split decision.

Since then, KSI and Jake have both hinted at the possibility of a fight, repeatedly challenging each other through podcasts and social media.

Despite Jake offering KSI the opportunity to replace Tyson, it seems that ‘The Nightmare’ will still be facing off against the recently reinstated Amir Khan.

In 2022, Khan, a former world champion in boxing, announced his retirement after testing positive for Ostarine. As a result, he was banned for two years until April 2024.

If KSI and Khan face off in August, and Jake follows through with his plan to fight Tyson in October or November, as he has hinted at, then it is probable that a potential match will not happen until early 2024.

Jake has already determined the time and location for their bout. He is set on having the fight against KSI in February at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

A full-circle moment for the pairs of brothers would be a card featuring these four men as headliners, as it would mark the culmination of Paul’s influencer boxing journey that began with his fight against KSI and Deji in 2018.
