Lady Gaga has revealed a surprise album linked to her portrayal of Harley Quinn in Joker 2, creating excitement among fans following an intriguing series of hints.
One of the most awaited films of 2024 is Joker 2, officially titled Joker: Folie à Deux, which serves as a sequel to Todd Phillips’ critically acclaimed 2019 film, Joker.
This time, the Clown Prince of Crime won’t be alone; he will be accompanied by Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn, who has already stirred anticipation with her pre-release surprises.
Gaga has announced that she will release Harlequin, a companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux, just a week before the film’s general release, further intensifying the buzz around the movie.

The pop star teased the album’s launch with various posts on her Instagram account, featuring intriguing phrases like “Still Not October,” “Moondust Gets Everywhere,” “No Ducttape No Mission,” “Don’t Tell Me What To Wear,” and “I’m Ready For My Interview.”
While these aren’t confirmed titles of tracks on Gaga’s Joker 2 soundtrack, they hint at themes viewers can expect to explore while watching Joker: Folie à Deux.
Although details regarding the sequel’s narrative remain sparse, Gaga seems to have dropped some hints regarding the fate of our beloved characters, Joker and Harley, through her tracklist commentary.
The album opens with the ballad ‘Get Happy,’ potentially a reimagining of Judy Garland’s classic. This track is intended as a cheerful tune, allowing listeners to “forget all [their] troubles”and embrace positivity.
As fans reconnect with Arthur Fleck, alias Joker, in this sequel, who finds himself confined in Arkham Insane Asylum, this song could serve as Harley’s means to uplift him amid his grim reality.
However, Joker and Harley’s relationship might not be as idyllic as they envision, as one of the album tracks is titled ‘Happy Mistake.’ This may suggest Harley’s conflicted feelings regarding her relationship with Arthur, a convicted murderer grappling with a severe mental illness.
This ballad might be incorporated during a moment of clarity for Harley, as she recognizes their relationship as a challenge she must navigate for her own growth. Ultimately, only time will reveal the validity of this theory.
