Latest Update on Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Excites Fans

During the Jujutsu Kaisen panel at Anime Expo 2024 on Sunday, July 7, 2024, it was officially announced that Director Shota Goshozono will be at the helm of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3. Following his successful direction of the anime’s second season, Goshozono is confirmed to be returning to MAPPA for the third season.

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen was broadcasted from July to December 2023. It received widespread acclaim and was recognized with multiple awards for its exceptional execution. However, there were reports of poor working conditions at MAPPA which led to some staff members leaving. Fortunately, the Director will be returning to helm the third season.

Anime Expo 2024 Announces Shota Goshozono’s Return to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3

On Sunday, July 7, 2024, Anime Expo 2024 featured a stage event for Jujutsu Kaisen in collaboration with Crunchyroll. Special guests Junya Enoki (Japanese voice of Yuji Itadori), Shota Goshozono (Director of Season 2), and Keisuke Seshimo (Animation Lead Producer, MAPPA) joined fans to celebrate the popular manga series.

Shota Goshozono’s appearance at the stage event strongly suggested that he would be returning to play his role in season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen. Additionally, during the event, he expressed his excitement to animate Maki Zen’in in the upcoming season of the anime.

This has been confirmed that Shota Goshozono will return to his role as the Director for the upcoming third season of Jujutsu Kaisen.

How Fans Reacted to Director’s Return

Fans of Jujutsu Kaisen were overjoyed to discover that Shota Goshozono would be returning as the director for the anime’s third season. This was due to their immense love for the second season and their concern that the quality of the series could potentially decline if a different director were to be chosen.

“Goshozono more than confirmed as director of s3,”one fan said.

“thank God, I will be sad if he leaves Shota is pure cinema,”another said.

Another admirer shared their adoration for Shota Goshozono, citing his impact on the second season of the anime. They praised Goshozono’s direction, deeming it a cinematic masterpiece. As a result, they eagerly awaited the release of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3.

Despite this, there were some fans who were not as enthusiastic about the anime. This was due to the fact that the manga had taken a negative direction.

“Too bad the story took such a horrible turn. Not a sole worthwhile left alive if you know from the manga. I can’t watch the rest if I’m just gonna be left feeling like sh*t when it’s all said and done,”other fan expressed.

Despite the fact that Yuji Itadori and a few others were still alive, all the lovable characters in the series had already died. As a result, they saw no reason to continue watching an anime that only brought them sadness.
