Recent leaks have ignited speculation that the Pokémon Legends Z-A starters have been unveiled at last.
Fans of Pokémon have eagerly awaited any tidbits of information regarding the next installment in the Legends series. Since its initial announcement in February, there has been a scarcity of updates concerning Pokémon Legends Z-A.
What we do know is that the game is set entirely in Lumiose City within the Kalos region, and it will featured Mega Evolution. Apart from that, not much else is officially confirmed regarding this title.
Notable leak source CentroLEAKS has apparently discovered new insights about the forthcoming game. They suggest that a leaked image meant for the 2025 Pokémon World Championships might have revealed the Starter trio for Pokémon Legends Z-A.

The leaked artwork showcases Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie, the original Starter Pokémon from Kalos. CentroLEAKS infers that these Pokémon will be the starters for Legends Z-A, referencing the trend where recently introduced titles have utilized current Starter Pokémon for promotional artwork.
“This all indicates that these will be the starters for PLZA,” they noted. “This is speculation, but it appears that way.” If this trio becomes the starter Pokémon for the game, it would represent a significant shift from its predecessor.
In Pokémon Legends Arceus, the setting was in the Sinnoh region but featured Starter Pokémon from various other regions, allowing Game Freak to create new regional forms for those selected. Fans had presumed a similar approach would apply for Legends Z-A, so not everyone is sold on CentroLEAKS’ claims.
“In what universe does this suggest they are the starters?” questioned one Pokémon enthusiast skeptically. “Definitely not buying that,” another responded.
Many expect Pokémon Legends Z-A to follow a similar pattern to Legends Arceus, incorporating Starters from different regions alongside alternative evolutions. Choosing the traditional Starter Pokémon of its own region may very well be an effort to establish its unique identity.
